A downloadable project

This is ONLY an idea as of the time you're reading this. This idea will be pitched for Bradley's FUSE and future capstone projects. I may also work on this by myself, but coding such a thing may be out of my current scope.

(Untitled) Is it a 3 v 3 v 3 MOBA in which each team has a Tank and 2 DPS characters. In this game, they will fight on a triangle-shaped map competing for gold, buffs, and Ultimately the central and final objective. 

Rather than having team-aligned minions at the beginning, in between each lane are minions that all teams can kill for gold. Every few waves, a Captain will spawn. Defeating the Captain will make the minions Align with your team to kill other minions and passively farm gold. This, outside of eliminations, is a very important way to make gold. 

In the middle of the map is an Arena in which the players can fight. In this Arena, various things to fight over will spawn. At first, it will spawn a Bait Station. The Bait Station allows whichever team can Activate it first to choose the next Monster that will spawn in the Arena. 

Monsters will be unique and each has its own unique buff.  After 3 Monsters have been defeated, the Winner's Circle will begin. A giant stone containing the Crysalis will spawn, and the team that breaks the stone and claims the Crysalis wins. 


THE MAP: The map will be triangular with each corner having the corresponding team's spawn. There is a fortress that protects the spawn.  The Arena sits in the middle, with the minion spawns also in a triangular formation around it.  As mentioned before, once "Aligned" minions will follow down the lane their Captain was defeated in and kill the central minions. It is possible for 2 teams to both have captains in 1 lane, where they will both begin to push against each other. The map will have a Jungle, but very few buffs. The map will not be too big or too small to make sure that players feel incentivized to go to lanes and do macro-oriented plays and skirmishes without feeling like they are taking too long to just get there. 

GOLD: With gold, players will be able to buy Items or strong, short temporary buffs. (These buffs are strong, but a risky investment and some may have debuffs alongside them for balancing purposes)

Levels: Players will gain XP with minion, objective, and enemy player kills. 

CHARACTERS: While no character designs exist right now, Trio synergies will be kept in mind. I do not want there to be objectively best-case trios. There will be a draft pick system to allow for counter-picking and more intuitive team compositions. Characters mechanically will remain more simple than other competitors 'MOBAs. Games like Battlerite and their more small-scale champion design will be likely the route. Tanks specifically will behave largely as supports.
